Can I take my teenaged children to the library and study together?

Answer

You may bring children to the library, but any child under the age of 13 must be under your supervision at all times.  They may use computers as long as they are not needed by a Universities at Shady Grove student or staff member.  The children must use a headset to view websites with sound. They may not upload software of their own or bring games or DVDs from home as this may introduce viruses into the network. Cell phone conversations within the quiet area and Silent Study Room are prohibited.

The library is principally a study area for students and a quiet environment needs to be maintained in the quiet area and Silent Study Room.
