Q. What printing options are available at the library?
You will need a USG Printing Portal account to print. If you are a USG student, your account credentials are your SG number on your student ID and the password you created when you set up your login. For more information on your USG login, please go to USG ID logon services. If you are a guest, you will need to click "I am not affiliated with USG" on the printing portal and create a printing account. Make sure to take note of your 6-digit identity number!
Printing is 10 cents for black & white jobs and 50 cents for color jobs. You are able to add money to your account by credit card through the printing portal or by cash through the kiosk in the library copy room. To add money using cash, you will need you student ID card or your 6-digit identity number for guests.
You may print from a library terminal or from your own laptop. To print from a laptop, you will need to click on the "Webprint" function in the printing portal on the left-hand side and follow the instructions.
To print from a library terminal, you will need to login to the computer using your student login or a guest login (available at the service desk with a valid photo ID). If you are a student and already have funds on your account, you can access the document you need to print, select Follow-Me Black & White or Follow-Me Color printer, and click print. You can then retrieve your print job in the copy room by swiping your student ID at the kiosk and selecting the print job you need.
If you are a guest and already have funds on your account, make sure to click on the PaperCut application on the desktop and enter your printing account information. Access the document you need to print, select Follow-Me Black & White or Follow-Me Color printer, and click print. Enter your printing account information account again in the pop-up window. A notification should come up saying that your print job is in a queue. You can then retrieve your print jon in the copy room by entering your 6-digit identity number at the kiosk and selecting the print job you need.
