I get this error message when requesting or renewing books: “System is unable to process your hold request.” What do I do?


There may be a couple of reasons why you are getting this message:  a) Your library card may have expired. b) You may have a new library barcode number.

Please contact a library staff member to find out if your library barcode has changed or call 301-738-6020 to reach the front desk. If that’s not the case, then visit the webpage ‘Home Institution Library Services’ to contact the circulation staff at your home institution.
