Can former students check out books?

Yes, former students can check out books if they are part of either program described below.
- Some universities offer an alumni borrowing program. Please check with your home institution to find out if one is available for you.
- You can also sign up at as a community borrower. To do so, you need to visit the McKeldin Library at the UMD campus and pay a $50 per year fee. Information about the program and the form to sign up are both listed below.
